Cardano users will soon be able to save and transmit XRP directly via the native lace wallet of the ecosystem. This announcement marks an important change in the relationship between Cardano and Ripple, with both teams overcoming earlier differences.
The initiative that Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson was confirmedopens the door for deeper cross-chain interactions between Cardano and the XRP Ledger. Lace Wallet, which was originally introduced as a pure Cardano platform, now quickly develops into a multi-chain solution.
During a recent YouTube AMA meeting, Charles Hoskinson revealed that XRP would be integrated into the Lace Wallet.
He announced that the talks with the Ripple team went positively, which indicates improved relationships between the two blockchain communities. When asked by a viewer, Hoskinson confirmed that XRP users can save, send and receive their tokens via lace as soon as the integration has been completed.
Although he did not give a specific date for the start, it emphasized that XRP support is a planned step to expand the wallet functions. Lace was launched in April 2023 and initially only supported Cardano-native tokens like ADA. However, the platform has gradually developed.
The support for Bitcoin was added in March 2025, so that users could carry out in BTC within the Wallet transactions. Now it is the turn of XRP, and Lace is becoming a central hub for multi-chain crypto users.
In addition to the XRP integration, Hoskinson confirmed that XRP Ledger users will be entitled to the upcoming Night token Airdrop. Night is Midnight’s governance token, Cardanos data protection-oriented side cechain, which is intended to support secure and transparent decentralized applications. According to Hoskinson, the Airdrop will cover 37 million users to eight blockchains, including XRP owners.
The night token will work with Dust, which enables shielded transactions on the midnight network. This Airdrop aims to achieve a broader participation across all ecosystems, including communities outside the Cardano blockchain. Hoskinson confirmed that XRP users will be able to participate directly via the Lace Wallet as soon as the XRP support is activated.
As a further sign of the collaboration, the CTO of Ripple, David Schwartz, Hoskinson, invited to speak at an upcoming event from Ripple. Hoskinson announced only a few details, but the invitation signals mutual respect between the two blockchain guides. There are also discussions about Ripple’s RLUSD stable and possible applications for the data protection infrastructure of Midnight.
The integration of XRP in lace and the increased cooperation between Cardano and Ripple represent a new chapter for both ecosystems. As Hoskinson noted, the focus is now on interoperability and user accessibility, whereby Lace Wallet serves as a central access point for cross -chain engagement.
