Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese corrected a reporter who congratulated her on an “NBA record” after she broke the WNBA single-game rebounding record in a 78-71 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks.
Reese grabbed a WNBA-record 26 rebounds, surpassing Chamique Holdsclaw’s previous single-game mark of 24. The effort also pushed her season total to 458 rebounds, breaking A’ja Wilson’s single-season WNBA record of 451.
When the reporter attempted to brush off the error, Reese responded that she sets NBA records too, highlighting the confusion between the two leagues.
