
Anthony Head, the actor who performed the long-lasting position of Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has died on the age of 72.
The previous few years have been a tragic time for the forged of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with Michelle Trachtenberg and Nicholas Brendan each having handed away within the final 18 months.
Along with his position as Giles, Head is well-known for an iconic cameo efficiency in Dr Who throughout David Tennant’s period, a supporting position in Ted Lasso, Really feel Good, and as Arthur’s father in Merlin.
Head’s demise was confirmed by his daughters Emily and Daisy Head in an announcement, saying: “It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the demise of our extraordinary father, Anthony Head.

“He handed away peacefully of problems resulting from pneumonia, surrounded by his household. It has been, and eternally will probably be, an honour and a privilege to be his daughters, and to have witnessed firsthand the influence each he and his work have had on so many.
“We all know how dearly he will probably be missed by buddies, colleagues, and followers of the reveals he was in – he cherished his job very a lot, and he all the time thought-about himself extremely fortunate, to have been capable of work alongside such exceptionally proficient individuals, in such great productions, throughout a profession that spanned a number of many years.
“Our grief is way higher than the opening he has left behind, however we all know his legacy will reside on, within the reveals he was part of, and within the audiences that love them. How fortunate we’re to know we’re capable of watch him doing what he cherished, even when he’s now not with us.
“We kindly ask that our privateness is revered at this troublesome time.”
