A woman’s account of a Tinder date has gone viral on TikTok after she described a series of uncomfortable encounters with her match. Commenters called the man’s behavior a string of red flags and said they were relieved she made it home safely.

How the Tinder date began
According to @444austin, she and the man began texting soon after matching on Tinder. She said he became “adamant” when she did not respond to his messages immediately. During their conversation, he also asked her to add him on Snapchat.
She explained that she had stopped using Snapchat and Instagram and had deleted those accounts. After telling him that, she gave him her personal phone number so they could remain in contact.
At first, she said she did not notice any red flags. The man soon expressed a strong desire to meet in person and suggested going to the movies. She agreed to the date.
Initially, she described him as gentlemanly and said there was nothing suspicious about his Tinder profile because he was a verified user.
The pair chose a movie, date and time to meet. Before they could go to the theater, however, the man called and said he was having car trouble. He then asked her to pick him up.

She said the request was an immediate red flag but decided to continue with the date. Because she did not feel comfortable riding with him in an Uber, they met separately, as originally planned, about an hour before the movie.
Uncomfortable behavior during the date
After meeting, they sat in her car and talked. During the conversation, she mentioned having a cold sore that she thought might be herpes. She said she disclosed the information because she wanted to be upfront about her health.
Although he knew about the sore, she said the man told her he still wanted to kiss her and asked for consent. She became uncomfortable during the interaction, pulled away and tried to change the subject.

She said he continued making advances despite their conversation. When she confronted him, he explained his “expectation.” She also said he tried to persuade her to move to a less-lit area of the parking lot and attempted to make her feel guilty after she said no.
At one point, the man joked about harming her and taking her car, which she said made her more cautious. The date ended with her crying before she was able to leave safely. She decided not to see him again.

The TikTok received nearly 800,000 views, prompting concern from viewers. One commenter wrote, “He’s a stranger! Stranger, danger!” Other commenters encouraged people to remain cautious when meeting strangers through dating apps.
