Ortiz will not be in the Milwaukee Brewers’ lineup for Monday’s game against the Chicago Cubs.
He is on the bench for the third time in six games as he begins to lose playing time on the left side of Milwaukee’s infield. Ortiz is expected to continue receiving regular starts against left-handed pitchers, while Cooper Pratt and David Hamilton are likely to get priority against right-handers.
