Elliot Page has revealed that he is not being inundated with acting offers despite appearing in one of the year’s biggest movies.
Page earned rave reviews for playing Sinon, an Ithacan soldier, in The Odyssey alongside Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattison. The Christopher Nolan film is the second-highest-grossing movie of the year and has generated serious Oscar buzz.
However, the 39-year-old actor recently said he is not currently working on another project.
During an interview with On Film…With Kevin McCarthy, Page was asked about his next role. The host added: “I imagine you’re getting a zillion calls after this movie.”
Page replied: “No, Kevin, I’m not. So, let’s… if someone wants to call me…”
McCarthy appeared surprised and asked whether Page really did not have a follow-up project lined up. Page answered: “Not really.”
Page’s most recent listed role is voicing Dusky in the upcoming animated film Naya Legend of the Golden Dolphin, which has recently finished production.
Although he does not know what his next project will be, Page said he would like to do ‘good work’ and feels he is at a point in his career where he could produce some of his best performances.

The Odyssey marked Page’s second collaboration with Nolan, following his appearance in Inception in 2010, a decade before his transition.
Recalling the differences between the two films, Page said he enjoyed making Inception but admitted to feeling ‘uncomfortable’ during production.
“I don’t know if this is weird or too personal, but when you do ask me about [Inception], I had such a great time being in that movie,” he said on the podcast.
“I had such a great time working with Christopher, but I was also personally really uncomfortable.”
Page continued: “But I feel now, because that’s removed, and I don’t have to deal with that when I’m acting in my performances, I am like… I feel like I could maybe do some of my best work now.”
During a 2025 Comic-Con panel with Josh Horowitz, Page explained that returning to work with Nolan after his transition was an even better experience than making Inception.
He said: “I was so excited to be thought of and to be asked to come back to work him.“
“To come back now, as you can imagine, being more comfortable in yourself makes these sorts of projects more enjoyable. “To get to have a Chris Nolan experience again now meant so much to me selfishly.”
Page, who underwent an intense physical transformation for The Odyssey, described making the film as a ‘full circle’ moment and said he was moved to tears when filming ended.
“I think that just feeling more embodied and connected, that’s what weirdly lets you let go more, you know?” he said. “Knowing yourself more and embodying yourself more, weirdly, lets you let go more.”
