Juventus have completed season-long loan deals for Newcastle United forward Nick Woltemade and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr.
The Serie A club will pay Newcastle £3.5 million to sign Woltemade on loan, but the agreement does not include an option to make the move permanent. Juventus had also held talks with Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee after his proposed transfer to Fiorentina failed to materialise. However, the Italian club considered Woltemade a better fit and a cheaper option, while avoiding the obligation-to-buy clause United wanted for Zirkzee.
Pape Matar Sarr loan includes purchase obligation
Woltemade follows Sarr in making a temporary move from the Premier League to Juventus on deadline day, with the Tottenham midfielder joining for £2.1 million.
Juventus confirmed that Sarr’s loan agreement includes an obligation to buy the Senegal international for £23.6 million if certain conditions are met during the 2026-27 season.
Sarr joined Tottenham from Metz in 2021 and made more than 100 Premier League appearances for the north London club. He also helped Spurs win the Europa League in 2025.
The midfielder has won 42 caps for Senegal since making his international debut in 2021 and was part of the team that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2022.
