Indonesia’s Immigration Office arrested five foreign nationals following a raid in Kelapa Dua, Tangerang District, on September 7. The detainees include two Chinese nationals and three Vietnamese nationals.
Potential Charges and Penalties
The suspects face potential charges under Articles 122 and 123 of Indonesia’s Immigration Law for stay permit abuse and inaccurate data dissemination. If convicted, they could receive up to five years of imprisonment and fines up to Rp200 million (approximately $11,300). Additionally, they may face deportation and entry bans.
