Security threats are a growing problem for the Vechain community. On January 18, 2024, the project’s official X account became compromisedwhat made attackers made possible to publish misleading advertising offers. The fraud aimed at Vechain (VET) and Ethereum (ETH) owner and asked them to transfer money with the wrong promise to receive the double amount in return.

Vechain reports:
“The hackers tried to lure users by claiming they could double their vet or ETH amount.”
However, many investors quickly recognized the fraud. Blockchain recordings show that the fraudulent address has not received any funds, which indicates that users’ awareness has increased for such machinations.
Despite the security concerns, Vechain continues to expand its ecosystem. As in our earlier contribution mentioned the platform recently introduced USDGLO, a green stable coin that aims to promote sustainability. This token is now available for trading on Veswap, the decentralized stock exchange of Vechain. In addition, the USDGLO network has allocated to help community members who still hold the hired VeusD stable.
In parallel to these developments, VECHAIN started a new website for his vebetter initiative. As already mentionedThe website improves the user experience by offering an improved interface for exploring sustainability -related dapps. The Vechain team explained:
“Our redesigned website offers intuitive navigation that makes it easier for users to update their GM NFT or to take part in the DAO Governance.”
After the recent fraud message, the course of Vechain (VET) was $ 0.02642, with a 24-hour trading volume of $ 56,203,711. This means a decline of 1.72% in the last 24 hours, but an increase of 9.91% last week.
Vechain urgently asks his community to stay careful and check all information through official sources before getting involved in transactions. Users are asked to report suspicious activities to prevent further safety threats.
