Bittensor (TAO) Surges 13% on Raydium Integration and Memecoin Demand

AI-themed cryptocurrencies have attracted renewed capital rotation this week, with Bittensor ($TAO) emerging as a primary beneficiary of fresh market demand. The aggregate market capitalization of AI coins climbed 5% to $19 billion, while sector trading volume jumped 18% to $3.97 billion.

TAO Reclaims $270 Level for First Time Since June

Amid the sector-wide inflow, $TAO extended its upside after flipping the $250 resistance level, reaching a session high of $277—a price point not seen since June. At the time of writing, Bittensor was trading near $272, representing a 13.4% gain on daily charts. The protocol’s market capitalization surpassed $3 billion, accompanied by a 164% surge in trading volume to $558 million.

Raydium Integration Connects TAO to Solana DeFi Ecosystem

The catalyst for the sharp move was $TAO’s launch on Raydium, the leading automated market maker on Solana. The integration bridges Bittensor’s decentralized AI infrastructure with Solana’s deep DeFi liquidity and user base, significantly expanding the token’s accessibility.

A key beneficiary of this expanded reach is the integration with memecoin launchpads, particularly StonkFun. Shortly after the Raydium listing, a Bittensor-themed memecoin named BUTT launched on Solana. BUTT’s market capitalization quickly exceeded $6 million. Critically, participants were required to swap into $TAO first to acquire BUTT, creating a direct demand driver for the underlying asset.

Spot Accumulation and Derivatives Activity Signal Buyer Dominance

On-chain and exchange data confirm rising investor conviction. Spot markets have recorded a positive buy/sell delta for five consecutive sessions.

Spot Market Buying Pressure

According to Coinalyze, Bittensor registered 265,000 units in buy volume with a buy/sell delta of +24,000, indicating clear buyer dominance in the spot market.

Derivatives Open Interest Hits Four-Month High

On the derivatives side, participation has intensified. CoinGlass data shows Open Interest (OI) surged by $428 million, marking a four-month high. The rise in OI to levels last seen in May suggests traders are opening fresh positions—both long and short—signaling heightened speculative interest.

Historically, the combination of strong speculative demand via futures and sustained spot accumulation has reinforced upward momentum, often translating into further price appreciation.

Technical Outlook: MACD and Awesome Oscillator Flash Bullish Signals

Technical indicators align with the bullish narrative. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) formed a bullish crossover and climbed to 10, while the Awesome Oscillator (AO) rose to 22, printing green bars for two consecutive sessions.

Rising MACD and AO readings typically reflect strengthening buyer control. Such setups have frequently preceded additional gains in prior cycles.

Key Levels to Watch: $280 Resistance and $234 Support

If current market conditions persist, Bittensor is positioned to close above $280 and target the $300 psychological resistance zone. Conversely, should speculation around the Raydium integration subside, a retracement toward the $234 support level becomes the primary downside scenario.

Summary

  • Price Action: $TAO surged 13% to a three-month high of $277 before a minor pullback to $267 at press time.
  • Primary Catalysts: Raydium integration on Solana and the subsequent launch of the BUTT memecoin, which funneled swap demand into $TAO.
  • Market Structure: Five days of positive spot delta (+24k) and a $428M surge in Open Interest to four-month highs.
  • Technical Bias: Bullish MACD crossover and rising Awesome Oscillator support continued upside toward $300, with invalidation below $234.
