Animoca Brands has right now a partnership with Soneum announcedan Ethereum-based Layer 2 Blockchain, which was developed by the Sony Group via Sony Block Solutions Labs. This collaboration will build Moca Network, the digital identity infrastructure platform from Animoca, a central layer of identity on the Sioneum network.
For those who are not familiar, Moca Network is known for its account, identity, and reputation SDK (Air SDK) technology that can be installed in various decentralized applications.
In Sioneum, this technology will provide users a single embedded account that can lead their identity and registration data with them when switching from one application to another. So you don’t have to register again every time you change the dapps. Imagine that you have a single account for all social media, but in the web3 version.
The partnership begins with the start of Anime ID, a decentralized identity and reputation system that focuses on the anime fan base. Anime ID was developed by San Frantokyo, the team behind the anime foundation. This system will be a pioneer in the use of Air SDK in the Soneium network. Reputation -based login information will provide that can be openly verified.
This collaboration is not just about technology, but also about the cultural aspect. Together with Animoca, San Frantokyo will carry out a campaign on the subject of anime, which is integrated with blockchain functions. This strategy aims to invite more new users into the web3 world, especially anime fans.
On the other hand, CNF previously reported that Sioneum has worked with Line to integrate four popular mini apps into their blockchain ecosystem in the next few months. This happened after Sioneum had started his Mainnet last January together with the start of Line’s decentralized application portal.
The entry of these mini apps could be an important driver for blockchain acceptance, especially when you consider that the line users are very large in Asia.
With the support of the digital identity of Moca Network, the user experience in this ecosystem could feel more personal and consistent. It is also possible that Line users will be able to register with only one verified identity in blockchain applications in the future.
The collaboration of Animoca Brands with Sioneum is not the only expansion step that the company has undertaken in recent months. In December 2024, Animoca Brands Japan received a partnership with Oasys to expand the blockchain gaming ecosystem in the China area.
As part of this partnership, Animoca Brands Japan became a validator in the Oasys network and brought in his gaming resources and experiences at a global level.
In addition, Animoca Brands in a partnership with Standard Chartered and HKT – CNF reported – a license for the issue of stable coins in Hong Kong under the new HKMA framework.
