Jennifer Lawrence has revealed the secrets behind her remarkably youthful appearance, crediting a combination of genetics, a disciplined skincare routine, and strategic cosmetic procedures. The 36-year-old Oscar winner discussed her beauty regimen in a recent interview with Vogue, offering candid insights into her use of “baby Botox” and her desire for buccal fat removal.
Addressing Surgery Rumors with Makeup Mastery
Speculation about potential plastic surgery has followed Lawrence for years, particularly regarding her eyes. She previously shut down rumors of eye surgery in an interview with Interview Magazine, attributing her changing look to the artistry of her makeup artist and natural aging.
“I’m like, ‘I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing make-up’,” she told Interview Magazine. “I started [in the industry] at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30 and I’m like, ‘I grew up’. “I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m aging.”
Post-Pregnancy Body Changes and Cosmetic Considerations
Lawrence has been open about considering surgical enhancements after childbirth. While she noted that her body recovered well after her first child, the experience differed with her second. She told The New Yorker last October that she considered a breast augmentation.
Although ‘everything bounced back’ after welcoming her first kid into the world, she told The New Yorker last October that ‘nothing bounced back’ when her son was born.
Beauty Regimen: Facials Over Hair and Nails
Despite her glamorous image, Lawrence admits she finds many standard beauty maintenance tasks tedious. She prefers investing time in facials, which she credits for her radiant complexion between injectable treatments.
“I hate getting my hair coloured,” she said. “I also hate going to the nail salon. I saw a tweet that was like, ‘It’s like going to the hand dentist.’ It’s not relaxing. It’s not fun. It’s really, really boring. It takes so long.”
However, she does ‘believe in facials’ and doesn’t mind carving out some time for one – as these are what keep her looking so radiant in between Botox jabs.
Baby Botox for Natural Movement
The Die My Love actress relies on a conservative approach to neuromodulators to preserve facial expressiveness. She emphasizes the importance of maintaining movement in her face, accepting a degree of natural laxity in exchange for a lively, dewy look.
“I can’t really get very much done,” Lawrence went on. “I need to have movement in my face – I get baby Botox, but I can’t do a lot. “If my skin is going to be a little saggier than I would like, at least it looks dewy and pretty.”
What Is Baby Botox?
According to the Harley Street Skin Clinic, “baby Botox” involves a smaller dose of botulinum toxin designed to deliver subtle results.
It’s intended for those who want to minimise fine lines and stave off deep wrinkles without that frozen or overly dramatic look that can accompany full-dose Botox sessions. This technique is particularly favored by younger clients or first-time Botox users who want to take a more conservative approach.
The clinic notes the procedure provides a ‘more regal, understated look’ and ‘allows for more natural movement, whereas traditional Botox can get you a more frozen or expressionless result’.
Buccal Fat Removal Desire
Lawrence also disclosed her interest in buccal fat removal, a surgical procedure that removes fat pads between the cheekbones and jawline to create a more contoured, chiseled facial structure. However, she acknowledges the procedure’s noticeable results would conflict with her preference for discretion.
“I would love to have a buccal fat removal,” Lawrence added. “I can’t because everybody would know, but just know that I want that.”
