Jenna Dewan Moves Forward on Dancing With the Stars
Actress and dancer Jenna Dewan is set to continue her run on Dancing With the Stars, demonstrating resilience as unexpected changes shake up the ballroom competition. The Step Up star will keep putting her best foot forward on the long-running ABC program, remaining committed to her routines and progression in the series despite significant adjustments to her partnership.
Val Chmerkovskiy Sidelined Following Suspension
The development comes in the wake of professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy being suspended from the ABC production. Chmerkovskiy, a veteran pro on the franchise, received the disciplinary action following remarks that led the network and producers to temporarily bar him from participating in the live competition.
While the sudden departure of a core pro disrupts the standard training routine, Dewan’s status on the show remains intact. Competitors in the series frequently face logistical hurdles, injuries, and unexpected shifts, but Dewan is proceeding with her scheduled involvement and performances on the dance floor.
Why This Matters
Mid-season partner disruptions are rare and pose significant creative challenges on Dancing With the Stars, where timing, partner chemistry, and continuous training are vital to securing judges’ scores and viewer votes. For Jenna Dewan, maintaining her place in the competition allows her to focus on her technical showcase, while ABC navigates personnel standards and partner realignments during high-stakes live broadcasts.
