Blur frontman and Gorillaz co-creator Damon Albarn won’t be getting many tickets to his concert events from Tottenham Hotspur followers after his feedback on The Graham Norton Present.
Gorillaz have an upcoming tour he was on the present to advertise and Graham Norton stated their 20 June look in London on the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be the band’s ‘greatest ever gig’.
Nonetheless, Albarn is a Chelsea fan and would solely describe the stadium as ‘a big music venue in North London’, which drew laughs from the studio viewers.
Sadly his feedback attracted the eye of that notoriously thin-skinned bunch referred to as soccer followers, who took to social media and began calling him names.
A few of them referred to as him a ‘p***ok’ and claimed he had all the time been such, although one suspects they do not know him nicely sufficient personally to say deep perception into his character.

A Chelsea fan ribbing Spurs followers is nothing new, and there hasn’t been a lot pleasure round Tottenham Hotspur this season.
They’ve simply sacked their supervisor Thomas Frank as they languish at sixteenth within the Premier League so issues have not been going nice.
The membership have simply appointed a fellow named Igor Tudor to handle the workforce till the tip of the season so maybe he’ll flip issues round for Spurs, give their followers one thing to smile about and make the Tottenham Hotspur stadium a happier place by the point Albarn brings the Gorillaz there in a number of months time.
Or maybe not, we’ll have to attend and see.
Gorillaz introduced their tour final September, dropping a bunch of dates all around the UK and Eire earlier than hopping over to Europe, returning to the UK for the London date in June on the aforementioned ‘massive music venue in North London’ earlier than heading overseas as soon as extra.

Blur frontman Albarn began Gorillaz with the artist Jamie Hewlett again in 1998, with them releasing a debut album in 2001.
As for why they referred to as the band that, there have been loads of theories cooked up through the years together with each of the band’s creators being born within the 12 months of the Monkey, 1968, and that the precise origin comes from a remark made by Liam Gallagher of Oasis when he was requested about Britpop bands.
Gallagher had been requested if the rivalry between Oasis and Blur was just like the one between the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, and had stated his band was each ‘the Beatles and the Stones’ whereas Blur had been ‘the f**king Monkees’.
Albarn himself has stated when he began the band he’d wished to remain nameless and ‘folks weren’t meant to comprehend it was me’.
