Manchester City are considering a move to re-sign Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez, while Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign his teammate Alexander Sørloth, according to reports.

Manchester United offered Alexander Sørloth

Manchester United have been offered the opportunity to sign Alexander Sørloth, according to TEAMtalk. The Norway international has emerged as a potential arrival at Old Trafford before the transfer window closes.

Sørloth, 30, is reportedly open to leaving Atlético Madrid, while the Spanish club could also consider a sale if it can secure a suitable replacement. United have continued to be linked with another striker throughout the summer, with Sørloth viewed as a possible rotation option for Benjamin Sesko.

A move could also allow Joshua Zirkzee to leave, with several clubs having shown interest in the forward this summer. Sørloth has previous Premier League experience from a brief spell at Crystal Palace and has since impressed in a rotational role at Atlético.

Manchester City enter Julián Álvarez transfer race

Manchester City have entered the race to sign Julián Álvarez during the final days of the transfer window, according to Marca. Pep Guardiola’s side are reportedly interested in bringing the Argentina international back to the club.

Álvarez continues to face an uncertain future at Atlético Madrid after a public dispute over his role in the team. Barcelona have been pushing to sign the forward, who has also spoken publicly about his desire to join the LaLiga champions. Atlético, however, have made clear that they do not want to approve a transfer to Camp Nou.

Those tensions have led to speculation over a move to Arsenal, but Manchester City are now reportedly exploring a return following the departures of Omar Marmoush and Sávio.

Álvarez, 26, made 103 appearances for City during his previous spell, scoring 36 goals and providing 19 assists. He was part of the squad that won the UEFA Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup treble in 2022-23.

Chelsea confident of signing Lamine Camara

Chelsea have made significant progress in talks to sign AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, Footmercato reports. Club-to-club negotiations have accelerated over the past day, and Chelsea are now confident of completing a deal for the 22-year-old.

Camara has attracted late interest from the Premier League, with Liverpool and Crystal Palace among the clubs previously linked with him. Chelsea are now expected to win the race for his signature. The midfielder has made 74 appearances for Monaco since joining the club in 2024.

His potential arrival comes as Chelsea face continued speculation over Enzo Fernández’s future and a possible move to Manchester City.

Tottenham consider Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye

Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye has emerged as a potential target for Tottenham Hotspur in the final days of the transfer market, according to Footmercato.

Spurs are searching for a third new forward after signing Sávio and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, with Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo among the players heavily linked with a move to north London.

Ndiaye has also attracted interest from Manchester City in a potential deal that could see Jack Grealish return to Merseyside. Tottenham could enter the race with a proposal involving Richarlison moving back to Everton.

The Senegal international, 26, has scored 17 goals and provided four assists for Everton since joining from Marseille, where he previously worked under Roberto De Zerbi.

Aston Villa agree Ibrahim Mbaye deal

Aston Villa have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Ibrahim Mbaye, according to The Athletic. The 18-year-old has been linked with several clubs this summer, including Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.

Unai Emery’s side have reached a breakthrough with an offer worth €55 million. The deal comes after Aston Villa missed out on Rafael Leão, who has joined Galatasaray.

Mbaye made 24 Ligue 1 appearances last season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.

RB Leipzig target Chelsea striker Marc Guiu

RB Leipzig are interested in signing Chelsea striker Marc Guiu, a source has confirmed to ESPN. The Bundesliga club hope to complete a deal before next week’s deadline and are working on a permanent transfer.

The fee is expected to be below €20 million.
