Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is expected to miss at least one or two games after undergoing a meniscus trim procedure this week, according to reports from NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday.

The surgery follows an injury Bowers sustained during training camp, which was diagnosed last week, Rapoport noted.

Impact on Raiders’ Season Opener

Las Vegas is scheduled to host the Miami Dolphins at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday in their regular-season opener. Bowers’ absence would leave a significant gap in the Raiders’ offensive attack, particularly in the passing game where the rookie first-round pick had been expected to play a major role.

Further updates on Bowers’ recovery timeline and official game status are anticipated ahead of Sunday’s matchup.
