Pawtucket police have arrested a Providence woman in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a 48-year-old man in critical condition.

Crash Details and Arrest

The collision occurred Sunday at the intersection of Main Street and Magill Street in Pawtucket. According to authorities, a vehicle reported stolen earlier that day struck a man riding an electric unicycle. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Maryna Ohagan, allegedly fled the scene on foot. She was later arrested by Providence Police Department officers after being identified as a suspect in both the crash and the vehicle theft.

Prior Police Pursuit

Before the crash, Pawtucket police had spotted the stolen vehicle within city limits and attempted a traffic stop. A brief pursuit ensued, but officers terminated the chase after a short time citing public safety concerns.

Pawtucket police stated that Ohagan later confessed to her involvement in both the vehicle theft and the hit-and-run crash.

Charges Filed

Ohagan faces the following charges:

  • Possession of a stolen vehicle
  • Reckless driving
  • Refusing to stop in a crash resulting in serious injury
  • Larceny of over $10,000

The investigation remains active as the victim continues to receive medical treatment for critical injuries.
