How to Play Mega Millions
To participate, you must purchase a ticket available at convenience stores, gas stations, and grocery stores. In some states, tickets can also be bought online.
Each ticket requires selecting six numbers: five white balls numbered 1 to 70, and one gold Mega Ball numbered 1 to 24. Players who prefer not to choose their own numbers can request a “Quick Pick” or an “Easy Pick.” These options let the computer randomly generate numbers for you.
Mega Millions tickets now include a built-in multiplier that increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four, five, or 10 times. Previously, players had to pay an extra dollar to add the “Megaplier.”
