Michael Massey led off the frame with his 12th homer of the year — his third hit of the night — sparking a three-run rally. Kansas City added another run on a throwing error by right fielder Jorge Barrosa before Carter Jensen capped the inning with an RBI double.
Lynch Shines in Return; Bullpen Holds Firm
Daniel Lynch IV delivered a strong start for Kansas City, tossing five scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and striking out three to earn his sixth win. Craig Kimbrel navigated a one-out single in the sixth to keep Houston off the board. Nolan Hoffman allowed two singles in the seventh, but Anthony Gose escaped the jam by striking out pinch-hitter Nelson Velazquez and inducing a fly out from Daulton Varsho.

Jeremy Peña continued his hot streak, going 3-for-4 with a double for his second consecutive three-hit game. Yainer Díaz provided Houston’s only other run with a solo home run in the ninth inning.
