Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen is set to face a field of 100 challengers in a unique karting spectacle streaming live on Disney+ this Wednesday, 16 September. The “Max vs 100” event will take place on a purpose-built circuit at Silverstone, where the Red Bull Racing driver must fight his way through the pack over 30 laps while his opponents work collectively to keep him behind them.
Verstappen: “I’ll just rock up and have a good time”
Speaking during the Spanish Grand Prix weekend, Verstappen adopted a relaxed attitude toward the unusual challenge.
“I’ll just rock up and have a good time, to be honest. Let’s see how it goes. But yeah, it’s a lot of people,” he said.
“Starting from the back, it’s going to be challenging, but I hope I can catch them all. But we don’t know yet. I don’t even know the format at the moment. So I will just rock up and do my thing.”
