TikTok creator Kellie, known as @ambryrae, shared a viral story about a disruptive 25-person party at the restaurant where she works as a host and waitress. The video, captioned “I really wished they woulda gathered in the name of the Lord somewhere else that day…”, has amassed over 444,000 likes and 13,000 comments.
Large Walk-In Party Creates Immediate Tension
According to Kellie, the group arrived without a reservation at a time when the restaurant could not accommodate a party of that size. One woman repeatedly approached the host stand, claiming she had not received the text notification that their table was ready. Kellie stated she consistently informed the woman that the restaurant was not yet prepared to seat them.
Seating Arrangement and Service Complaints
Once seated, the group expressed dissatisfaction with the table arrangement. They requested a private room, which the restaurant does not offer. Complaints also arose regarding the pace of food service, as the establishment serves multiple courses.
Disruptive Behavior Escalates During Second Course
Kellie reported that members of the party were standing and talking rather than remaining seated. By the second course, the situation escalated. She said group members began singing and dancing, with one individual playing a tambourine. Kellie described the scene as what appeared to be a worship session taking place in the middle of the dining room.
The group also demanded that another party seated nearby be moved because their conversation was interfering with the singing and dancing.
Confrontation Over Noise Leads to False Claim
When Kellie asked the group to lower their volume, she said one woman became upset and subsequently told the rest of the party that the restaurant had asked them to leave.
Billing Dispute Delays Departure
As the group prepared to leave, another issue emerged. Kellie stated that one person refused to pay their portion of the bill and asked Kellie to cover the cost. After Kellie declined, the woman ultimately paid the outstanding amount before the group departed.
