Intern Alleges Unpaid Wages Since December
The first post in the thread stated the author manages several Asian McDonald’s social media accounts as an intern. They alleged their boss, identified as “Amit Joshi,” has not paid them since December 2025, forcing them to take on two additional jobs in customer support and delivery to survive.
Memecoin Losses Compound Financial Hardship
The individual also described themselves as an unsuccessful memecoin trader, writing, “I literally starve every day because I lose all my money on them.”
The final post in the sequence claimed McDonald’s owed them ₹60,000 (approximately $650) and expressed hope that public pressure would resolve the situation.
No Evidence of Memecoin Scam or Hack
Investigation of the deleted posts reveals no specific memecoin was promoted or linked, making a hack for scam promotion unlikely.
McDonald’s India Labels Claims “#fakenews”
McDonald’s India responded on X by labeling the allegations “#fakenews,” though the denial failed to convince many platform users who continued to question the company’s labor practices.
