The establishment left the tipping decision to customers based on the wage information. The influencer said his concern involved not only the hourly pay but also the expectation that customers would help cover servers’ income.
He said it was the restaurant owner’s responsibility to pay workers more. Although he acknowledged that food establishments do not typically pay tipped employees the full minimum wage, he questioned the reasoning behind the practice.
