OpenPayd has completed the integration of MSB USA Inc., adding 43 state Money Transmitter Licenses to its regulatory footprint as the fintech accelerates its expansion across the United States and North America.
Founded by OpenPayd founder Dr. Ozan Ozerk, MSB USA provides financial infrastructure that enables businesses to move, receive and settle funds in the US and internationally. The FinCEN-registered money services business facilitates payments through regulated banking partners and networks including ACH, FedWire and SWIFT. It also supports hosted USD accounts and stablecoin-enabled settlement.
OpenPayd expands US regulatory coverage
The new license portfolio gives OpenPayd broader geographical coverage across the US and strengthens its ability to serve global businesses seeking compliant payment infrastructure for their American operations, the company said Wednesday.
The expansion adds to OpenPayd’s growing regulatory footprint in Europe, including its recent authorization under the EU’s MiCA regime from the Malta Financial Services Authority.
“Every era of finance has been defined by its infrastructure: correspondent banking wired together the twentieth-century economy; programmable money will power the twenty-first. The US is at the forefront of this evolution, and with regulated foundations now spanning the US, UK and Europe – across both fiat and digital assets – OpenPayd has something few providers can claim: regulated infrastructure spanning both fiat and digital assets, on both sides of the Atlantic,” Dr. Ozan Ozerk commented on the move.
OpenPayd reports commercial growth
The regulatory expansion follows a strong quarter of commercial growth. OpenPayd said its annual recurring revenue surpassed $96 million as of July 31, while annualized transaction volumes exceeded $300 billion.
The company remains profitable and operates without external capital. It serves more than 1,200 clients worldwide, including Kraken, eToro, OKX and B2C2.
Fintech prepares for potential Nasdaq listing
OpenPayd’s US expansion comes as the London-based fintech prepares for a potential Nasdaq debut. The company announced in June that it plans to list on Nasdaq under the ticker “OP” through a definitive business combination with Titan Acquisition Corp.
The transaction values OpenPayd at approximately $1.1 billion and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and approval from Titan shareholders.
