Long-serving Aston Martin figure Tom McCullough will join Red Bull Racing as Head of Racing in 2027, the team has announced.
McCullough will leave Aston Martin after an extended period with the team and its previous identities, Racing Point and Force India. During that time, he held a range of engineering positions.
As part of a senior leadership restructure at the beginning of 2025, McCullough moved away from the Aston Martin Formula 1 project and took up a role in another area of the business focused on “the expansion of the team’s broader range of racing categories”.
McCullough to strengthen Red Bull leadership team
It emerged last month that McCullough would depart Aston Martin at the end of the 2026 season, although his next move had not been confirmed. Red Bull has now announced his arrival ahead of this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix, as the Milton Keynes-based team works to rebuild its senior leadership structure following several high-profile departures.
Max Verstappen’s race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, is among the latest senior figures linked with an exit. The Briton is due to leave Red Bull when his current contract expires in 2028 and join McLaren as Chief Racing Officer.

Red Bull said in a brief statement.
McCullough began his Formula 1 career with Williams in the early 2000s. He spent around a decade with the team before a brief spell at Sauber was followed by a move to Force India.
