Gracie Hunt and Derek Green Return to Arrowhead Stadium After Engagement Party

For Gracie Hunt and Derek Green, one of the most meaningful moments of their engagement celebration came after the party ended.

The couple returned to Arrowhead Stadium, a venue that has been part of their story from the beginning, and shared a private moment overlooking the Kansas City Chiefs’ home field. Dressed in white, Hunt stood beside her fiancé in a private suite as they held hands and kissed while taking in the stadium below.

The visit provided a fitting conclusion to an engagement party attended by family, friends and prominent figures connected to the Chiefs.

Hunt documented the occasion on social media, describing the return to Arrowhead as an emotional reminder of how their relationship began.

‘Engagement party debrief in the place where we met,’ Gracie wrote over the video.

She later explained why returning to Arrowhead was so significant for the couple: ‘Of all the places, all the moments, God wrote our story to begin right here. So grateful to have come back to this stadium engaged, surrounded by the people we love.’

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach were among those celebrating with the couple. Hunt also shared photographs of Green with relatives and friends as the gathering marked another step toward their wedding.

The Chiefs heiress thanked everyone who helped make the evening memorable: ‘Thank you for the most beautiful and unforgettable engagement party, we feel so incredibly loved and celebrated,’ she wrote.

Another photograph showed Hunt posing in her bridal-inspired white dress on a balcony. She captioned the image ‘The bridal era glow.’

Her mother, Tavia Hunt, also shared her reaction beneath the post, commenting: ‘Love you two SO MUCH!!’

Arrowhead Stadium holds significance beyond Hunt’s family connection to the franchise.

Hunt is the daughter of Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, making her one of the most prominent members of the family behind the organization. She has remained closely involved with the team and is a familiar presence at Chiefs games and events.

Green also has a direct connection to Kansas City football. His father, Trent Green, was the Chiefs’ starting quarterback for much of the early 2000s and played six seasons with the franchise.

The former quarterback made two Pro Bowls during his NFL career and remains a recognizable figure from one of the most successful periods of Kansas City’s pre-Patrick Mahomes era.

That shared background makes Hunt and Green’s relationship particularly unusual, but their connection predates their romance.

The couple first became publicly linked in 2025, although Hunt later revealed that they had known one another since childhood.

‘Derek and I have known each other our whole lives,’ Hunt told People.

‘We would actually play together as babies during the Chiefs’ Christmas parties every year, and then we reconnected as adults in 2017 and met on the sidelines pregame. We reconnected in early March and have been inseparable ever since.’

Wedding plans for Hunt and Green

Hunt and Green eventually became engaged and announced the news on April 4, 2026, sharing photographs from the proposal and giving followers their first glimpse of the ring.

Since then, their wedding preparations have become increasingly visible. Hunt has revealed that she plans to have 14 bridesmaids, while the couple have embraced the wedding hashtag #Evergreen as they prepare for the next chapter.

The engagement party represented more than a glamorous gathering. It brought together two families with deep connections to the Chiefs and gave Hunt and Green an opportunity to celebrate their relationship with the people closest to them.

Hunt’s involvement with Kansas City football is also unlikely to diminish as the wedding approaches. She has repeatedly spoken about how much the franchise means to her and how she uses the NFL offseason to spend time with family, pursue other interests and recharge before another season begins.

‘Every offseason, my goal is to grow my faith, spend quality time with my family and friends, explore new business opportunities, and spend time in nature to recharge,’ she said. ‘That way, I’m ready to give my best in the upcoming season.’

‘I don’t really ever truly stop thinking about football. In its absence, the heart does grow fonder… and obviously, everyone in the offices in Kansas City never stops thinking about football.’

With another major celebration complete, Hunt and Green are moving closer to their wedding day. By choosing to end their engagement party at Arrowhead Stadium, they ensured that one of the most important places in their shared history once again became part of a major moment in their lives.
