Today’s Connections: Sports Edition puzzle may be easier for fans of UT-Austin. The daily sports-themed word game, created by The New York Times in partnership with The Athletic, challenges players to identify “common threads between words.”

What is Connections: Sports Edition?
Connections: Sports Edition is a daily word game available in web browsers and on mobile devices. Each puzzle presents 16 words that players must divide into four groups of four words sharing a common connection.
The categories can cover subjects such as team names, book titles, software, or countries. Although several words may appear to belong together, only one grouping is correct. Completing a category removes its four words from the board, while an incorrect guess counts as a mistake. Players can make up to four mistakes before the game ends.
The board can be rearranged or shuffled to make connections easier to spot. Categories are also color-coded by difficulty: yellow is the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. As with Wordle, players can share their results on social media.
