Today’s NYT Strands hints are designed for workaholics. The New York Times’ word-search game adds a twist to the classic format: Players connect letters up, down, left, right, or diagonally, changing direction to create unusual shapes and patterns.

Every letter in the grid belongs to an answer. The solutions share a common theme, along with the “spangram,” a word or phrase that captures the day’s theme and stretches across the grid horizontally or vertically.

Strands provides an opaque hint instead of a word list, making it a more challenging puzzle than other popular New York Times games such as Wordle and Connections. If you are stuck or do not have at least 10 minutes to solve today’s puzzle, use the hints below to make progress at your preferred pace.
