MANILA, Philippines- House Speaker Martin Romualdez this Sunday offered a P5 million reward for anyone with information that can lead to the killers of broadcaster Percy Lapid.
Romualdez announced that the money came from the personal contributions of some House representatives.
“We in the House view with concern the killing of Percy Mabasa,” ani Romualdez, gamit ang tunay na apelyido ni Lapid. “The perpetrators and the masterminds behind this dastardly act must be brought to justice at all costs. Violence has no place in a civilized society like ours.”
Lapid, host of the online broadcast program “Percy Lapid Fire” on DWBL 1242 and a columnist for Hataw, was shot in Barangay Talon Dos, Las Piñas on October 3.
A reward of P1.5 million was previously offered for information that could lead to his killers. RNT/SA
