MANILA, Philippines – A traffic enforcer was killed when he was hit by a van along Osmeña Highway, Malate, Manila Monday morning, October 10.
The victim, Rommel Delos Santos, 40, an enforcer of the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau or MTPB and a resident of 1822 Dapitan Street, Sampaloc, Manila, did not reach the hospital alive.
In the investigation of the Manila Traffic Enforcement Unit, the incident occurred at 10 am along the southbound lane on Osmeña Highway in the said area.
The enforcer was allegedly carrying his motorcycle with license plate QFS 101 when it collided with an aluminum van with license plate WGG 227 driven by Jarey Daniel Andyan, 32, living at B16 Lot 29 Apitong Street Saint Joseph Village, San Pedro Laguna causing the victim.
Due to the force of the impact, the enforcer fell on the cement concrete, resulting in his immediate death.
