ANTIQUE – A magnitude 4.1 earthquake shook the province of Antique this morning, Monday, October 10.
This is according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) where the epicenter of the earthquake was 11 kilometers southeast of Anini-y, Antique.
After 11 o’clock in the morning, the earthquake was felt where Intensity IV was recorded in Anini-y, Antique while Intensity III was recorded in Tobias and Fornier, the same province.
According to Phivolcs, the earthquake is tectonic in origin which may be caused by the movement of an active fault near the area.
It is not expected to cause aftershocks or any other damage. RNT/JGC
