NoKor released 2 ballistic missiles

NORTH KOREA – North Korea launched two ballistic missiles Sunday morning, October 9, which is the seventh in a series of missile launches by Pyongyang.

According to Toshiro Ino, Japan’s state minister of defense, the same missile reached a height of 100 kilometers and reached a distance of 350 kilometers and the first missile was released at 1:47 am local time.

Six minutes later the second missile was released.

Both fell outside of Japan’s exclusive economic zone, but authorities are now investigating what type of missile it was and the possibility that it was a submarine-launched ballistic missile.

The United States has assured that this will not cause any danger to any US personnel and its allies.

“US commitments to the defense of the Republic of Korea and Japan remain ironclad,” the Hawaii-based US Indo-Pacific Command said in a statement.

The South Korean military also condemned this move by North Korea. RNT/JGC
