MANILA, Philippines- Nothing can stop the mandatory registration of SIM cards in the country.
This coming Monday, October 10, the President is scheduled to try the SIM Card registration bill in Malacañang.
Recently, Executive Secretary Luis Bersamin stated that the Chief Executive is very likely to sign such bill.
And now he said that this coming Monday, President Marcos will sign the bill that aims to prevent bad elements from committing fraud and money laundering through illegal methods using cellphones.
Once signed into law, it will be easy to identify the bad guys behind text scams and online messaging by making it mandatory to register their Subscriber Identity Module or SIM.
