MANILA, Philippines- The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rain to Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao this Saturday, according to PAGASA.
The ITCZ will bring rain to the Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Palawan, which may also cause flash floods or landslides “due to moderate to at times heavy rains.”
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience “partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms” due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for extreme Northern Luzon is moderate to strong northeastward while the coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
Luzon and Visayas will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in a northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
In Mindanao, the wind speed forecast is light to moderate going northeast to north direction while the coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
