OFW Hospital lacks nurses

MANILA, Philippines – The administrator of the OFW Hospital in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga has called for an additional 200 nurses because the hospital is said to be insufficient to properly operate the facility intended only for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families. .

According to the hospital’s administrator, Dr. Dante Datos, a big challenge for them is the lack of medical staff to run it properly.

“We have a call for help from the Department of Labor [and Employment] to publish that we will hire nurses that we need up to 200,” said Dator on Teleradyo.

Currently, the hospital only has 52 nurses, 25 of whom are also former OFWs.

Datos said the hospital has a 100-bed capacity that provides free services for OFWs and their dependents.

It will be remembered that the hospital was opened last May. Jocelyn Tabangcura-Domenden
