More than P110K in 'shabu' confiscated in Cainta

MANILA, Philippines- The 36-year-old suspect was arrested in a planned buy-bust operation by Cainta MPS operatives in Kabisig Brgy. San Andres, Cainta Rizal around six thirty in the evening, October 4, 2022.

PCOL Dominic L. Baccay, Provincial Director of Rizal PPO, identified the suspect as Jake Suriaga y Nicanor, resident of the said barangay.

According to the report, a buy-bust operation was conducted in coordination with PDEA 4A in the said area where an alias “Jake” was behind the sale of illegal drugs which resulted in the arrest of the said suspect and the confiscation of eight pieces of HSTPS with a weight of about 15 grams costing P102,000.

The arrested suspect’s rights are informed in accordance with the Miranda Doctrine as well as the Anti-Torture Law. Subsequently, an actual and physical inventory of the confiscated evidence was conducted at the scene of the incident in the presence of the said suspects and witnessed by Brgy. Member and Media Representative then recorded through Alternative Recording Device (ARD) in relation to Section 21 of RA 9165.

The suspect along with the confiscated evidence was taken to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit, Hilltop, Taytay, Rizal for appropriate laboratory and drug test examinations and later taken to the Cainta Custodial Facility. Rene Tubongbanua
