Nippon Travel Agency handled a total of 22,123,460,000 yen in July this year, up 65.2% year-on-year. Compared to the same month of 2019 before the corona disaster, it was down 36.3%. Domestic travel increased by 85.0% year-on-year (down 34.7% from the same month in 2019) to 13,822.54 million yen. Overseas travel increased by 508.0% (down by 72.0%) to 2,866.54 million yen. International travel decreased by 65.5% (down 97.3%) to 87.55 million yen.
Breaking down domestic travel, group travel increased by 97.8% (decreased by 25.5%) to 3,835.66 million yen. Among them, general groups increased by 184.1% (decreased by 29.6%) to 2,621.38 million yen. Educational travel groups increased by 19.5% (decreased by 14.5%) to 1,214.27 million yen.
Domestic projects increased by 85.0% (decreased by 31.7%) to 5,701.26 million yen. Of this, red balloons planned in-house increased by 147.4% (decreased by 28.5%) to 5,657,420,000 yen. Other companies’ projects increased 103.4% (down 89.9%) to 43.84 million yen.
