MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. thanked the teachers in different parts of the country for their “priceless” and very important service to the country especially in the midst of continuing limited face-to-face classes.

In the President’s message on National Teachers’ Day, the President encouraged Filipinos to recognize the “sacrifice” of teachers in shaping students and preparing them to achieve their dreams.

“This is also a good opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation for their invaluable service to the nation as we safely reopen our schools and bring forth a new era of learning amidst the post-pandemic world,” wika ng Pangulo.

Earlier, it was reported that the Department of Education (DepEd) announced that teachers will receive a P1,000 incentive as part of the National Teachers’ Month celebration.

This was announced by DepEd spokesperson Atty. Michael Poa in a press conference this Thursday, where they will do the provision of the World Teacher’s Day Incentive Benefit (WTDIB) for qualified public school teachers.
