MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is “very sincere”. to bring the Philippines “to greater heights.”

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said that he was very impressed with President Marcos’ work performance and the President’s constant reminder to his cabinet to “work harder” for the betterment of the country.

“He (Marcos) is very, very sincere and he wants us to do more,” ayon kay Bersamin.

“A lot of things need to be done yet. Every Cabinet meeting, he always presses all Cabinet members to move forward and achieve more to bring the country to greater heights,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

He also saw the first three months of President Marcos in his office, which he said was “very inspiring.”

Despite being an “outsider for a long time,” he said he was not unaware that the Marcos administration had many achievements.

“It’s my only impression. A lot,” said Bersamin. Reference was made to the recent participation of the President in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in the United States.

“While the current administration has already accomplished so many things, Marcos has no plan to highlight his achievements on his first 100 days,” he said at the same time. “The President is always ambivalent about that term 100. Why 100? Why not 50? Are we bound to give a report on 100 days, he said that.”

He said, there is a high possibility that the President will attempt legislative measures such as the SIM registration law and the postponement of the 2022 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

This is after Congress officially sent the enrolled copies of the two laws to the Office of the President.

He said it is rare for a President to veto a law.,

“‘Yung mga ganyang signing, you must presume the good faith of the two houses of legislature and when they submit to the President for his signature any piece of legislation na pagdaanan na nila , the probability is high that the president will agree with them,” anito.

In a Facebook post, the President said that he and his cabinet discussed methods to monitor and address the price of basic commodities and ensure the stability of food supply in the country.

“In our meeting today with the cabinet, we adopted the next steps to monitor the price of commodities. We will make sure that the food supply can be adjusted to be sufficient and affordable for the Filipino people,” he said. Chris Joseph
