MANILA- A habal-habal driver was killed after being shot and taken away by a suspect posing as a passenger this Tuesday in Pasig City.
The 59-year-old victim, who has not been named, was killed immediately by a gunshot wound to the body and was from Antipolo Rizal.
In the manhunt operation conducted by the authorities, the suspect identified as Rocky Manuel and two others Russel Manuel and Ernest Osmeña who were also seen using a motorcycle were arrested in Taguig City.
According to Pasig Police Commander PS-2 Plt. Jason Lovendino, it can be seen in the CCTV footage that around 5:00 AM, the suspect observed the area and saw the victim whom he called then got in and took him to Barangay Ilog, Pasig.
Upon arriving at the scene, the suspect made the victim get off the motorcycle, then shot him and the motorcycle quickly fled.
It appeared in the police record, that there have been many complaints against the suspect related to the theft of motorcycles and illegal drugs.
