MANILA, Philippines – The COVID-19 positivity rate in the National Capital Region (NCR) increased to 19% from the previous 18.7%.
This was announced by the OCTA Research Group this Wednesday, October 5 where according to OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David, Metro Manila recorded a positivity rate of 19% on October 3 from 18.7% on September 26.
Despite this, this percentage is lower than the positivity rate recorded on October 2 of 19.1%.
The positivity rate refers to the number of people who test positive for the disease from individuals who have undergone COVID testing.
NCR remains the country with the most new cases of COVID-19 in the past two weeks or 13,559 cases according to the Department of Health.
