MANILA, Philippines – The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) is already reviewing the things that must be reviewed in the reopening of the Baguio (Loakan) Airport to commercial operations.
This is after the CAAP met with the local government unit (LGU) of Baguio City and other stakeholders.
According to Acting Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo, they will allocate funds for the rehabilitation of the passenger building terminal of Baguio Airport.
This includes the renovation of the instrument landing system (ILS) and the extension of the runway by 100 meters.
CAAP and Baguio City LGU officials target that commercial operations return to the said airport before the end of the year. RNT/JGC
