MALASIQUI, Pangasinan – Two college students were jailed after being caught with a large amount of marijuana in an operation conducted by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Tuesday in this town.
PDEA Pangasinan Pangasinan provincial director Rechie Camacho identified the suspects as Tianes Rouch and Jomari Dalina, who took a tourism and aeronautics course and are both from Manila.
The suspects were arrested Monday night in Barangay Nancayasan, Urdaneta City and seized from them were 500 grams of ‘kush’ a high-grade type of marijuana, and 100 grams of dried marijuana leaves, worth P. 1.7M.
Meanwhile, PDEA Pangasinan also arrested on Monday another high-value target in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Carmay West in Rosales town.
Camacho identified the suspect as Jeffrey Calderon who sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an agent.
The charges to be filed against the suspects have been prepared.
Camacho said that they are also conducting barangay drug-clearing operations in their operations against drug personalities.
