Hagi Meirin Gakusha Building No. 3 (Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture) has recently opened. On the 1st floor of Building No. 3, the Hagi City Tourism Association, the Hagi Onsen Ryokan Cooperative, the Hagi Hot Spring Distribution Cooperative, and the Hagi City Tourism Division, which are in charge of tourism in Hagi City, are housed.
On the 2nd floor, the Citizen’s Gallery will be set up as a place for the presentation of civic cultural creative activities. Promote the arts and culture of Hagi City and enhance cultural activities. An exchange room (photograph) that can be used for events, workshops, meetings, etc. has also been opened. Building No. 4, which opened in March, is a co-working space equipped with a high-speed Wi-Fi environment as a base for “industrial development, human resource development, and exchange”, and is suitable for workcations, telework, and work spaces during business trips. Available.
The Hagi Machiju Museum Tourist Information Center has been opened in the main building of Hagi Meirin Gakusha. The 300-year history of the domain school Meirinkan and the former Meirin Elementary School is also introduced. Geopark visitor center was also maintained. Building No. 2 has a “World Heritage Visitor Center” that introduces the “Sites of Japan’s Meiji Industrial Revolution” including the five assets of Hagi City, and a “Bakumatsu Museum” that exhibits valuable real materials on the history of the Bakumatsu and the Meiji Restoration.
