MANILA, Philippines – Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin has approved Administrative Order No. 1 has appointed former ES Vic Riodriguez as presidential chief of staff.
In an interview, Bersamin said that Rodriguez is no longer part of the Marcos administration.
Also in response to the question if Rodguez has a new position, Bersamin said “no. we don’t even talk about it. not about him. I said not about it, don’t.. I have to be clear about that.”
Bertsamin’s plea is to respect former Executive Secretary Rodriguez’s privacy.
“He’s entitled to it. And to be fair to him as well as to the President (Ferdinand Marcos Jr.), let us not belabor that issue kasi the decision has been made. I was appointed executive secretary. i was sworn in into office and that should put that matter to rest,” ang wika naman ni Bersamin.
Meanwhile, Bersamin confirmed that Commission on Audit (COA) chair Jose Calida has also resigned from his role. Chris Joseph
