MANILA, Philippines – The operation of Light Rail Transit 1 was temporarily suspended after a fire was reported in a commercial residential building on Rafael Alunan St., Manila near Vito Cruz, Station
“A stop for safety has been put in place from Baclaran to Balintawak. Our Operations team is currently monitoring a fire incident near Vito Cruz Station. Please allow additional travel time of about 15 minutes,” ayon sa abiso ng LRTA.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection Manila, the fire started at 8:55 in the morning but was immediately extinguished at around 9:38.
Because of this, the LRT-1 operation was immediately restored to normal after the train trip from Baclaran to Balintawak was stopped.
So far, BFP Manila has not provided any other information regarding the fire that occurred. Jocelyn Tabangcura-Domenden
