Bulacan – Four individuals were arrested in the joint anti-illegal quarrying operations of the authorities on consecutive days in the mountains of two towns of this province.
In the report, the combined forces of the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources (BENRO) and San Ildefonso police arrested a truck driver alias Lester, 30, at around 8:07 a.m. on October 1, in Brgy. Alagao.
Authorities seized a 10-wheeler dump truck loaded with minerals during the operation.
Around 3:30 in the afternoon on September 30, he was arrested in Sitio Butatero, Brgy. Camachile of PIU, BENRO and Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT) police the three laborers Julius Motita, 19, Joven Torre, 19 and Elizalde Basas of said area.
Their relief truck drivers alias Joey Castro and Noel Alcantara managed to run and escape in the direction of San Rafael.
An Isuzu Forward truck loaded with 270 sacks of aggregates was confiscated during the operation.
