CAMARINES SUR – A woman who was fired from the service due to the use of illegal drugs after being arrested by the authorities in a buy bust operation Sunday, October 2 in the town of Bato, ended up in jail.
The arrested suspect was identified as ex-PCpl Richelle Magalona Mata and a resident of Barangay San Rafael, Bato, Camarines Sur.
According to PBGen. Warren De Leon, acting director of the PNP Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group Luzon Field Unit Team 5, apprehended the suspect in the said area.
Nata was seized with 3 packages containing shabu weighing more than 13 grams and amounting to P88,400.00 and boodle money.
de Leon further said that Mata belongs to the Counterintelligence Watchlist of the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office, Police Regional Office 5.
Mata was dismissed from service in 2019 after testing positive for the use of illegal drugs in a surprise drug test examination conducted by the Camarines Sur PPO, PRO5 on all PNP personnel up to the end of the year.
Instead of correcting his mistake, Mata allegedly continued his illegal activities in the operation of illegal drugs in the town of Bato, Naga City Camarines Sur and neighboring towns.
Mata is now in the custody of the Bato Municipal Police Station, Camarines Sur for the filing of the corresponding case. Mary Anne Sapico
