MANILA, Philippines – An anti-abuse group called on Vice President and Department of Education Secretary Sara Duterte to take action and focus on the issue of “campus predators” or abusers in schools.
“The DepEd must act decisively if they wish to stamp out the menace of campus predators, rid their agency of disreputable personnel and protect the youth,” paghimok ni Sophia Beatriz Reyes, lead convenor ng Enough is Enough.
Enough is Enough is a youth advocacy organization of victim-survivors of sexual abuse in schools.
The group’s call appeared because of what seemed to be slow action, particularly on the issue of campus predators or the abuse of some teachers at Bacoor National High School, and those who raised the issue on social media even had the courage to threaten others. RNT/JGC
