The heinous incident of rape with an air hostess has come to light in Mehrauli area of Delhi. After the complaint, the police arrested Congress leader Harjeet Yadav, accused of rape and sent him to jail.
The accused of rape is the Congress block chief. Police say that investigation has been started after registering a case in the matter.
The victim lives in a rented house in Freedom Fighter Enclave and is an air hostess in a major airlines company. The victim is a resident of Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh.
The victim has said in the statement given to the police that she was looking for a house for rent for herself. While looking for the house, he met Harjeet Yadav about one and a half months ago.
According to the police, on September 25, the girl received a call from a flat in Mehrauli area that she had been raped. When the police reached the spot and started the investigation of the case, it was found that the accused is known to the victim.
Shortly after receiving the complaint, the police arrested the accused Harjeet Yadav. He hails from Khanpur area of Delhi and describes himself as the block chief of Khanpur.
The victim girl told in her statement to the police that the accused came to her flat under the influence of alcohol and beat her up. After this the rape incident was carried out.
The victim girl has known the accused for about one and a half months. The accused had come in touch with the girl only in connection with the property. The victim girl says that she is an air hostess, police are verifying her statement.
On the basis of the statement of the victim girl, the police have registered a case under sections 376, 323, 509, 377 of IPC. Simultaneously, the accused Harjit Yadav was arrested and presented in the court, from where he has been sent to jail in judicial custody.
